Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan komunikasi lisan IPA siswa pada maeri sifat-sifat cahaya. Penelitian true eksperimentmenggunakan rancangan post-test only control design dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Menanggal 601 Surabaya. Kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajarkan dengan model Problem Based Learning dan kelas IV C sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung, ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data keterampilan komunikasi lisan siswa dikumpulkan menggunakanlembar observasi yang sesuai dengan indikator keterampilan komunikasi lisan.Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keterampilan komunikasi lisan siswa di kelas eksperimen yaitu 85,2 dengan kriteria tinggi, sedangkan di kelas kontrol 72 dengan kriteria sedang. Berdasarkan perolehan data  hasil t hitung> t tabel yaitu 3.676 > 3.319 serta signifikasi < α = 5 persen atau 0.05 yaitu 0.001 < 0.05, maka hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada penggunaan model problem based learning  terhadap keterampilan komunikasi lisan IPA siswa sekolah dasar.
