Abstract

Penyebab rendahnya minat baca siswa adalah kesulitan siswa dalam memahami bacaan dan kurangnya perhatian pihak sekolah dalam penyediaan sumber belajar. Berbagai kendala muncul terkait implementasi program Literasi Reading Time. Banyak guru yang mengeluhkan kurangnya motivasi dari kepala sekolah dan lingkungan masyarakat untuk memfasilitasi pelaksanaan program ini, selain itu guru juga mengeluhkan waktu pelaksaan yang belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan Literasi Reading Time di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara dan observasi. Dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan siswa kelas 2, 4, dan 5. Literasi Reading Time di sekolah dasar dilaksanakan setiap hari selasa dengan mempertimbangkan kesiapan masing-masing sekolah. Menurut keberlangsungan GLS di SD dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu pembiasaan, pengembangan, dan pembelajaran.
